Christian Education for Children

Church school is available at St. Andrew’s for children ages 3 through high school at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday.

Godly Play - ages 3 through 3rd grade

Godly Play offers a wonderful opportunity for children to become familiar with the language and stories of our faith. Each week a lesson is presented, the kids get to create an art response or pick some other work to explore, and a "feast" of crackers and fruit is shared with all.

Faith Explorations - A Journey to the Center of Faith - grades 4 through high school

Considered a "confirmation and beyond" class, Faith Explorations will address confirmation readiness as well as lead those who have already been confirmed into a deeper understanding of their faith. We will use music, theater, photography, and art to help explore our Christian faith and how it connects to the world around us.

Children's Liturgy & Nursery Care

During the 10:30 am Sunday service, children ages 3 years and older are invited to the chapel for Children's Liturgy, where they hear a simplified version of the day’s Gospel reading, sing songs, and learn about worship. Nursery care is available on Sundays for children, from infancy through 3 years old, from 9:15 am until the end of the 10:30 am service. The nursery is located to the right of the church's main entrance at the far end of the   Oak Table Lobby. The nursery is staffed by an attendant and volunteers who have been trained in Safeguarding God's Children and the Montessori infant/toddler environment.

Christian Education for Adults

Adults have two options at 9:30 am on Sunday. The Adult Discussion focuses on the weekly lectionary of the Episcopal faith and other spiritual literature. These interactive and lively discussions are open to all and provide an opportunity to explore and learn together. Spirit Path offers a forum for parents of all ages to share and learn from one another. The class offers a great opportunity for fellowship.

Bible Study is offered on Thursdays after the 9:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist. Additional study opportunities, focusing on areas of Biblical interest or current theological topics, are offered throughout the year.

Discovery Class prepares individuals for confirmation in the Episcopal faith. Participants in the program review the history, beliefs, and practice of the Episcopal faith. The program offers an overview for new Church members or a refresher for long-time Episcopalians and is a requirement for those who wish to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church.

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)

St. Andrew’s EYC meets on alternating Sundays after the 10:30 am service and includes youth in middle and high school. Additional field trips and outreach activities are also scheduled throughout the year. All eligible youth are encouraged to join the fun and service while exploring and expanding their spirituality.
