Explore Anglican Prayer Beads at St. Andrew's
Prayer beads are an integral part of contemplative prayer practices throughout Christendom. The Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Anglican/Episcopal churches each use a variation of prayer beads. The most familiar to us is the Roman Catholic Rosary. Within our own Anglican tradition, we have a “rosary” or prayer beads that reflect our history, traditions and unique Episcopalian culture.
On Saturday, February 13 at 10 am, join us in the chapel to discuss the formation of an Anglican Prayer Bead Society at St. Andrew's. We'll review the history, practice, and optional prayers associated with our Anglican “Rosary”. We will also develop the structure and schedule for our Prayer Bead group. This experience will be wonderful way to develop a new Lenten discipline. All are invited. For questions, contact Christopher Rigdon.
Second Sunday Breakfast Served February 14
St. Andrew's Second Sunday Breakfast crew will cook and serve a delicious, hot breafast at 9:30 am in the Parish Hall. Our wonderful crew of volunteers do this at no charge, but donations are always appreciated. Stop by for a great meal on your way to Christian Education, choir practice or other activities.
Annual Parish Reports Available
At our recent annual meeting, we reviewed the accomplishments of various St. Andrew's ministries and organizations. This year, we've gone green, and have made online annual reports available.
